Though its revenue comes from a customer relationship management (CRM) product, Salesforce also capitalizes on commercial applications of social networking through acquisition. As of early 2016, it is one of the most highly valued American cloud computing companies with a market capitalization above $55 billion, although the company has never turned a GAAP profit in any fiscal year since its inception in 1999. (Copy of the Homepage: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salesforce.com ) Abstract: ========= The vulnerability laboratory core research team discovered multiple vulnerabilities in the official Salesforce force online service web-application. Report-Timeline: ================ 2018-01-03: Public Disclosure (Vulnerability Laboratory) Status: ======== Published Exploitation-Technique: ======================= Remote Severity: ========= Medium Details: ======== A insufficient session -and cross site request forgery vulnerability has been discovered in the Salesforce force web-application. The EventRegistration with the EventRSVP allows to manipulate the res parameter. Normally the session must check that an user account has been removed in the abo. Attackers can randomly switch the mode without any restriction as permission. The issue reflects with an insufficient session vulnerability in connection with a cross site request forgery bug. The request method to exploit is GET and the attack vector is located on the client-side of the online service application. Request Method(s): [+] GET Vulnerable Module(s): [+] ./EventRegistration/EventRSVP Vulnerable Parameter(s): [+] res Proof of Concept: ================= The insufficient session vulnerability and cross site request forgery issue can be exploited by remote attackers without privilege web-application user account and with low or medium user interaction. Risk: ===== The security risk of the insufficient session -and cross site request forgery vulnerability in the web-application is estimated as medium.
