The issue was discovered by an internal researcher during a pentest session and was reported to ebay inc to resolve the vulnerability. The same issue was already not limited to the user profile picture at all and allows multiple malicious interactions. The issue was reported to ebay inc within the first qarter of 2017. The issue was finally resolved until the 4th qarter of 2017. The disclosure process of the video only took about 7 month.
